Lebanon Is Risen.. By Not Dying
The timing could not be more suspect, and the crime could not be more heinous. On the eve of Christianity’s holiest holiday, a conniving sniper attack to take out the highest most vocal symbol of Christian opposition is nothing short of evil.
In political terms, this is the height of bankruptcy
In humanitarian terms, it is the height of cowardice
In patriotic terms, this is an act of enemies and traitors
In regional terms, the agenda of sending Lebanon into the abyss of bloodbaths and civil wars is still alive and kicking.
But what the bankrupt cowards, betraying Lebanon for the benefit of an agenda of animosity did not count on is that their plot will fail... This time!
Call it the miracle of Easter, if you will... Thank all the prayers Lebanon lovers offer on a daily basis to protect this tiny country from the evil of its own people and everyone else who wishes it ill... Maybe it was simply not Samir Geagea’s time to go. Whatever it is, Lebanon was saved a tragedy of major proportions when the attempt on Geagea’s life failed.
Those who have poked fun of the incident, like those who did not condemn it, are simply ignorant, insensitive and unpatriotic.
I stand with the millions who sighed a collective sigh of relief that Samir Geagea’s life was spared and with it, Lebanon was spared the ensuing reaction. Hoping against hope that the evil killers will fail every time they attempt to harm any personality. For I have no hope that they will stop trying to take out one good man or woman after another until the scene is mute exactly as they like it.
Lebanon is risen as a result of the failed assassination attempt. The consequences of such heinous murderous act had it succeeded would have been irreparable and irreversible.
The killers and their loyal aides need to learn the lesson from the Hariri assassination of 2005. Taking out the largest symbol might remove the most significant “obstacle,” but it will unleash an unprecedented anger and people power much more lethal than their plots!

God saved Dr Samir Geagea , and Lebanon , from a disaster . Ms O. Nasr , Lebanon is proud having honorable citizens like you .
Excellent note Miss Nasr . Outstanding conclusion ! Jean-Marie Kassab
Guns are the tools of cowards. Prayers for peace for Lebanon. Keep shining the light on the darkness of terrorists who try to use violence to gain power in Lebanon.
Let the murders stop in Lebanon. Those who use violence to try to seize power are pure evil. Prayers for peace.
I completely agree with you that who ever tried to assassinate him was a coward and his only motive was to plunge Lebanon back into turmoil. But to insinuate that Samir G is a "good man" is nothing short of ludicrous.
